GREAT OCEAN ROAD REAL ESTATE BACKS MARATHON

Winner

The Great Ocean Road Real Estate Marathon – May 15 & 16

The Great Ocean Road Marathon and Festival of Distance Running has a new major sponsor – GREAT OCEAN ROAD REAL ESTATE.

Announcing the sponsorship, marathon festival chairman Ross Stephens said his committee was “absolutely delighted” to welcome such a prominent local company aboard for the next three years.

“This is a marvellous boost for the marathon festival, he said.

“It’s not just the sponsorship. The four principal partners in Great Ocean Road Real Estate are passionate about the event.”

Great Ocean Road Real Estate has four strategically-located offices along the Ocean Road – at Torquay, Aireys Inlet, Lorne and Apollo Bay.

The company’s managing director Ian Stewart said the marathon committee should be congratulated and commended on its commitment to the event and the region.

“The Great Ocean Road International Marathon on the world-famous Great Ocean Road is our backyard,” he said.

“We share a strong belief and passion for our coastline and, after having supported numerous local coastal sporting and community groups, we were looking to align ourselves with a major event that was not only seen to be local but also have a strong interstate and international flavour.

“To us, this was the perfect opportunity.”

NARANI WAY SALES GATHER STEAM

Another week and another two land sales at Narani Way. Interestingly they were the cheapest priced block and the most expensive block.

This leaves only one block at $325,000 and only a handful left in general, in the current stage.

Expected to be Fairhaven’s last large scale subdivision, the Narani Way sales were slow in the early stages, but have accelerated greatly in the last three months. Interestingly, many of the blocks have been purchased by Aireys Inlet and Fairhaven residents who plan to build and move to the area to live, which is a great advertisment for the area. There have also been a number of sales to Melbournians moving to Fairhaven to live.

Please contact me if you require any further information on the remaining blocks.

We have learnt a thing or two about selling Coastal/Lifestyle/Rural Properties!

The Great Ocean Road Real Estate brand is recognised around the world and has captured significant buyer interest throughout Australia, Asia and Europe for Australian coastal real estate.

With transactions in excess of $80 million, since Jan 1 2010, there have been 23 sales in excess of $1 million. 4 of these sales were in excess of $2 million and one being a record price in Lorne at just under $5 million (these statistics included record prices in Lorne, Wye River and Apollo Bay).

Fairhaven

These transactions are true evidence that confidence remains in the Great Ocean Road region, with local, interstate and overseas investors and managed funds making up the buyer lists.

With the ever increasing population growth, the infrastructure and designated growth nodes – combine this with new levels of appreciation – purchasing of coastal property is a sure fire way of enjoying good returns and proven capital growth over the medium term.

The above transactions are the result of every party in each transaction having an acute awareness of the market. Calculating the returns, appreciating the motivation and responding positively to advice.

This past quarter has been the most vibrant period since the 2003/2004 summer period and we look forward to the current year in a recovering economy of improving coastal prices and increased optimism.

With Australia seen to be a safe place to invest with an efficient economy, I expect the positive demand trend to continue in 2010 and beyond.
