Our Backyard – Aireys Inlet

Welcome to Aireys Inlet

1960.  The Cold War became colder.  Birth control pills came into existence.  Hugh Hefner  opened the first of his Playboy clubs in Chicago.  France tests its first atomic bomb.  The US sends its first troops to Vietnam.

Sir Robert Menzies was Australian PM and Neale Fraser won the men’s singles at the Wimbledon Championships.

It was also the last time interest rates in Australia reached the levels they did on Tuesday when the Reserve Bank slashed interest rates by 25 basis points to 2.75 per cent, the first reduction this year.

With a sluggish (but improving) property market and historically low interest rates, the environment is perfect for investing.
