Welcome to Aireys Inlet

We had perfect sunny days and great surf over the weekend.  The week however has been rather average with plenty of rain falling.

We have just listed 43 Hartley Street,  Aireys Inlet.  The property has an existing, original condition home on a 2022 square metre block.  It is situated beachside of the highway and is close to the beach and walking trails to the lighthouse precinct.

Alcoa has decided to shut down the Anglesea coal mine and power plant, after 46 years of operation.

The decision sees up to 85 people losing their jobs and follows the closure of the Alcoa Point Henry aluminium smelter last year, which the Anglesea plant had supplied electricity to.

The Reserve Bank has decided to follow up its February rate cut with a further cut over May reflecting continuing concerns over the state of the national economy.

The Bank cut official rates by another 0.5% this week to bring the official cash rate to a record low of 2%. This months action by the Reserve Bank follows the February cut which broke a sequence of 16 consecutive … Continue Reading »
