Our Backyard – Aireys Inlet

The campaigning for the federal election is off and running and I read with interest this morning about how unpopular the two men applying for the nations top job are.  It’s interesting to see whether voters vote for the leader, the party or the policies?  I guess it’s a combination of all these three things and some others no doubt.

Personally, I dislike elections.  The constant media, the cheesy hand shakes at the local scout hall which is under threat from developers, almost always in marginal seats…

Much the same with the budget.  Parties jostling for votes based on how much cash they can inject into the pockets of the voters.

I don’t mean to sound negative and I know it’s important but I want to see some positive, uplifting stories in the media.

As I look outside the sun is shining with not a cloud in the sky and hardly a breath of wind.  The Saints are undefeated and the weekend is almost upon us.

That said, the weather is forecast to be windy and horrible early next week and the Saints head to Fremantle on Sunday.  Oh well, let’s just enjoy what we have today…
