Our Backyard – Aireys Inlet

Traditionally, Easter signals the end of the summer selling season even though summer officially ended some weeks ago. That said, this recent run of warm weather has some of us a little confused. The surf has been small as well which is typical of summer conditions. This presents a problem for organisers of the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach which is on again after running for more than 50 years, although there is some swell forecast in the outlook period.

As reported almost weekly there are still very few houses for sale in this whole area. 44 Aireys Street was contracted today, after less than two weeks on the market. Hardly surprising given that it is the only house for sale on the beachside of the Great Ocean Road (on a stand-alone block) for under $1m.

Peter Boyce also contracted a 1200m2 block of land in the township area of Deans Marsh this week. Peter also sold the neighbouring property, a converted church, back in March. Although our name is Great Ocean Road Real Estate, we are not confined to only sell real estate on the Great Ocean Road.

We would all like to wish you a happy and safe Easter. Take it easy on the roads and let’s hope that the roadworks at the Moggs Creek bridge don’t continue over the long weekend. If they do you will need to add some significant time to your travel plans as there were some long delays today.
