Our Backyard – Aireys Inlet

The weather has finally turned cold and we are now seeing some good solid rain which brings with it a whole new feel to our beautiful township. This morning I heard our most recent guest of the ‘Pole House’ comment how amazing it was to witness last nights storm from this very unique location. They said they could feel the full force of the south westerly front passing down our coast and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being amongst the elements as they were last night.

We are approaching a very special day of the year with Mother’s Day this Sunday. If you’ve been slightly forgetful in organising something for the most brilliant lady in your life, Aireys Pub is putting on Lunch and Dinner and in past years they create a signature cocktail for your Mum. The weather on Sunday looks to be OK so a picnic near the beach on one of the coastal reserves could be a good option or take a short drive out Bambra Road to the Distillery Creek Picnic Area with an esky full of good food, you can’t go wrong and Mum will love it. Enjoy our rugged coastline this weekend and most importantly time with family.
