Our Backyard – Aireys Inlet

It’s been a week of glorious weather on the Surf Coast.  Still, sunshine filled days and clear skies.  Just perfect.  Unfortunately it looks likely to take a turn for the worse for the weekend so perhaps aim to curl up by the fire with a good book and a coffee or a glass of red.

Today marks the winter solstice in the southern hemisphere.  The word ‘solstice’ derives from the Latin sol for ‘sun’ and sistere meaning ‘to come to a stop or make stand’.  A solstice occurs when the sun reaches its lowest or highest point in the sky during the year as a result of the Earth’s tilted axis.

Last weekend the Great Ocean Road Real Estate sales team attended AREC 2019 (Australasian Real Estate Conference) on the Gold Coast in the presence of around 2500 other agents.

Speakers from all over Australia as well as some international speakers, talked about everything from listing and selling properties, to technology, disruption and a host of other topics.
