Our Backyard – Aireys Inlet

Scorching temperatures to end the week with a cool change expected this afternoon, right in time for the weekend…
The beaches have been largely deserted this week as expected and a good swell hit the coast on Wednesday to remind us how lucky some of us are to live and work here. There were not the crowds of the previous weeks and the best surf since December. Thankfully no fires in the area either which is always reassuring.
I don’t know too much about fishing but there is a buzz amongst the fishermen at the moment about all the tuna being caught. Boats off Anglesea and Lorne are reporting large numbers and some great pics on social media. Below is a friend of mine with a decent catch by any standard. I was happy with the 37cm snapper I caught in my kayak last Saturday morning…no photo required…

In real estate news look out for a front row offering in the coming days in Moggs Creek that has not been offered to the market since 1949. Being sold by the family who bears the name of the street, Wendt Court, this is a ripper property. Contact us for further information.
