Our Backyard – Aireys Inlet

Given all the uncertainty surrounding the new world we are living in post Corona virus etc, and its impact on the world as we know it, it has been pleasing to see that buyer sentiment appears to have picked up a lot in the past two weeks with the easing of many of the restrictions that we have been living under, as well as the likelihood of further easing.

There has been a noticeable increase in buyer activity over just the past ten to fourteen days. For example, last Saturday I spent much of the day with two buyers looking at various stock we are selling both on and off market in the area. As a result of this, one property has been contracted with another currently under negotiation.

May is traditionally one of our quietest months so it is encouraging to see the increase in activity, albeit stock levels continue to remain tight.

If you have been thinking about the right time to sell, then I would suggest to consider right now.

Yes we are almost in winter but there are buyers around. Savvy buyers look all year round, not just when the sun is out. I firmly believe that we will all come out of this crisis very strongly and people will return to flock down to the coast as all this recent turmoil has for many, made them rediscover how safe and wonderful the whole Great Ocean Road region is.
